Pastor Albert Maiden
Albert Maiden was born July 8, 1950 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Pastor John and First Lady Annie Maiden. He is the fourth of six children born to the married union.
He attended South High School in Youngstown and attended Youngstown State University. Albert received a Certificate in Evangelical Training from the American Baptist Theological Seminary. He has taken classes at the McCreary Center (an extension of Ashland Theological Seminary) and Ministerial classes at the Cleveland Extension of the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, IL. In 2003 Pastor received a certificate in Pastoral Studies from the Urban Alternative Church Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas.
Albert attended Union Baptist Church of Youngstown, Ohio where his father the late John Maiden was Pastor and Overseer. While at Union Baptist Church, Albert served as a member of the Trustee Board, Sunday School Teacher, Assistant Superintendent of the Sunday School, Youth Director, member of the Christian Education Board and a member of the Male Chorus.
In July 1979 Albert was ordained a Deacon of Union Baptist Church in Youngstown, Ohio. He was licensed to Ministry in 1982. In 1986, Albert was ordained to the Gospel Ministry. At Union Baptist Church, he served as Associate Minister under the Pastorate of his father, the late Pastor John H. Maiden, Sr.
In 1990, Albert moved to Cleveland, Ohio. He united with the Providence Baptist Church of Cleveland, Ohio where he served as Associate Minister under his brother Pastor Rodney Maiden.
In March 1993, he was called to Pastor the First Greater New Zion Missionary Baptist Chruch of Cleveland, Ohio. He is presently serving in that capacity.
Pastor Maiden is married to Jacqueline (Jacqui). They are the parents of Monica, Marc, Crystal Basile (Kevin), Tiffany Henningan (Mike), and Lamont. They are the proud grandparents of six - Joshua, Carter, Morgan, Ron, Khloe and Amir.
First Lady Jacqui Maiden
First Lady Jacqui Maiden was born on February 10 and accepted Christ as her personal Savior as a child while attending St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she was a part of the Youth Usher Board and Choir. During her teen years, she was a charter member of the Greater Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church.
While at Greater Mt. Ararat, she was a member of the Wilson Gospel Pearls Choir. She also served as the Financial Secretary.
After her marriage to Pastor Maiden, she united with the Providence Missionary Baptist Church. At Providence, she was a member of the Music Ministry and the Youth Staff.
First Lady Maiden was educated in the Cleveland Public School District and attended Cleveland State University and Notre Dame College of Ohio.
Sis. Maiden has attended classes at the Progressive Baptist District Association, The Sunday School/BTU Congress of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. and the Urban Alternative.
In April 1993, she united with the First Greater New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She serves faithfully under the Pastorate of her husband as part of the Women's Ministry, the Deaconess Ministry and Married Couples' Ministry. First Lady Maiden is the instructor for the Youth New Membership Class and teaches classes in Vacation Bible School.
Sis. Maiden is committed to Christ and her committment is reflected in her favorite chapter of scripture: Psalm 34.
